Help spread the word about MiCast

My friend and former IPDI colleague Chris Brooks and his friends had a great idea: a disaster response system that uses the speed and flexibility of the Internet and social media to deploy immediate, actionable information from ground zero of a natural disaster.
They didn’t just daydream about this idea — they actually put it into use when the Red River in Fargo flooded in 2009.
You can read more about them at their site, but a little magazine you might have heard about called Politics also had a lot to say about their efforts last fall.
Please help share their idea online and give these worthy young entrepreneurial public servants a shot at a $25,000 prize for their work.
Useful? Check. Important? Double check. Proof that citizens can often respond faster than government in crisis? Triple check.
